PreK Graduation
Sam graduated from PreK last week. They had the cutest graduation program where they showed us some of the things they had learned throughout the year, The Pledge of Allegiance, The Pledge to the Christian Flag and The Lord's Prayer. They also sang "B-I-B-L-E" and one other song. After their part of the program, they had a graduation ceremony complete with diplomas and graduation hats. As they called each child's name, they stated what that child wanted to be when he/she grew up. Sam said he wanted to be a Superhero. I liked that he didn't hem himself in, he kept some options open so he can find which Superhero suits him best. :) After the program, they had a little party with cake and lemonade. The kids had a blast posing for pictures and were just all around crazy! There are some pictures in here of Sam with his two best friends, Skyler and Tucker.

What?!?!?
This morning, as I was feeding Luke his bottle, he smiled up at me and I saw something funny looking in his mouth. Upon further investigation, I realized that it was a TOOTH! His bottom, left tooth has broken all the way through...he is 4 months old! Once I got over the shock, I felt so terrible. All this time that tooth has been coming in and I had no clue! He got his first tooth without teething tablets, Tylenol, frozen teething toys and sympathy from Mommy (and he survived)! No wonder he has been a little extra fussy...poor baby. Isn't 4 months a little early to get a tooth? Sam and Gabe were well over 6 months before they got theirs. Anybody out there have early teethers?

We've got brick!
Thanks to a mess up on our builders part - we ended up getting brick on our new house. Initially, we had planned on having a black roof with dark grey hardy plank. The accidentally put up a brown roof instead of the planned black. So, because of their mistake, they told us we could upgrade to brick. We were so excited, since we wanted brick in the first place, but didn't want to pay the extra $$ for the upgrade. We also found out this week that we have a "set" close date of August 18th for the new house. That is much sooner than we had anticipated. We'll see if that actually happens, but it puts us in the house in enough time for Sam to start school.
