Kids Artwork

I need some ideas on storing all the pages of art projects that the boys come home with every week. I've taken out some of my favorites to display in their room and on the fridge, but can't find a good system for storing the rest...ideas? tips?

I have a plastic container per child. I leave it in my hall closet. When I empty their bags I place all their work in there. Then at the end of the year I store the containers up in my closet. You can also frame a lot of the art work and put them in the hall, their bathroom or bedroom, utility etc.

I use a binder and three-hole punch all Kate's papers. You can put artwork that doesn't fit the binder rings in the pockets. Kate loves to show our visitors her schoolwork and it's easy for her to flip through the binder.

Okay, don't hate me...but I throw a lot of my kids artwork away....I really am a good momma....I just don't like SO much artwork that I know they will never look at again. Now, the neat stuff I keep and file away. And, I will try these new ideas...but just in case you needed another idea, I wanted to let you know what I do! Hee hee!~ (I am laughing over here...)

When I used to teach, I would whole-punch down three sides of two regular-sized posters that the kids decorated. Then they would lace them together so the top was open making a large pocket. That was their portfolio for the year since much of the artwork they did was on paper too large to fit into binders. Since they stored flat, I just lined them up next to my filing cabinet in my storage closet. They were very handy.
